Every day, our hair is bombarded with countless factors that lead to its poor condition. So you should know how to protect yourself from UV rays, chemicals and weather conditions and how to properly choose products for your hair.

Choose the Right Shampoo

If your hair is not experiencing any problems with oiliness, dryness, breakage and the like, you need a shampoo that contains a balanced mix of nourishing ingredients and cleansers. For oily hair, formulas containing tea tree oil, ginseng and green tea deeply cleanse and normalise the sebum secretion of the scalp to prevent excessive oiliness. For dry or damaged hair, look for a moisturizing shampoo with ingredients like biotin and argan, baobab, monoi, and shea oils to add softness and repair damage

Don’t forget a conditioner

The trick is to give your hair softness and shine without weighing it down or leaving a residue. For normal hair, you need a formula that strengthens the roots and nourishes the scalp without being overly moisturizing. For oily hair, choose a lighter blend or one designed for lightening; apply only to the middle or ends of the hair, not the scalp, and rinse well. Dry hair needs a super-softening conditioner with moisturizing oils and ingredients like biotin and keratin to protect and repair damage, and a restorative hair mask once a week. A good option are humectant masksthat are specifically designed to moisturize hair.

Regular detox

Styling products, minerals in the water, and everyday pollutants build up on your hair, causing it to become heavy, dull, and lifeless. Use a regular cleansing shampoo and conditioner to remove impurities and give your hair shine and bounce. And if you live in an area with hard water, consider a shower filter to remove excess minerals that weigh hair down.

Protection from the Elements

Protect your hair from heat styling, sun, chlorine, pollution and dry air with a leave-in conditioner; use a lightweight spray formula and apply before blow drying or styling. For extra protection, spray sunscreen to protect hair and scalp from sun damage.

Diet

If your diet lacks certain nutrients, you’ll see the effects in hair loss, slower growth or dull, brittle curls. Collagen, the most abundant protein in the body, strengthens hair follicles and improves hair growth. Zinc, iron, biotin and other B vitamins and omega-3 fats prevent hair loss, nourish hair and improve strength and shine.

Tight hairstyles

Dandruff, dry skin cells that flake off the scalp, can be caused by eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, fungal infections or sensitivity to harsh hair products; choose a shampoo designed to minimize flaking. Stress, hormones, and even too-tight hairstyles can cause hair loss; loosen those ponytails and buns, and look for a product designed to combat hair loss

Constant frizz is often the result of dehydration, drying shampoos or a lack of essential fatty acids in your diet; use a styling gel that tames frizz and increase your intake of water, healthy fats and nutrients like collagen.

The right mixes

Hairspray, gel, wax or mousse sculpt our hairstyles and add shine and control to any style. Make sure your product does double duty. Make sure it comes with ingredients like essential oils, healing botanicals and hair-strengthening biotin.

The Fingerprint Engraved Bands Craze is Here – Get Ahead of the Trend
Trends come and go, but once in a while, there’s one that sticks around. Take the fingerprint engraved wedding bands trend, for example. Although we’ve seen it rise from obscurity to being worn by celebrities, politicians, and regular folks across the country, it’s still going strong and growing in popularity (and not just among people who are getting married).
